The Miss Universe Australia program, whose purpose is to empower women of all cultures and backgrounds, by building self-confidence and making opportunities for success, presented a wonderful collaboration which represents Kailis brand values and heritage of our founder Dr Patricia Kailis.
When approached to design the Miss Universe Australia headpiece we were overjoyed. It presented a unique and exciting challenge for our team. Aligning with the Miss Universe Australia program allowed us to work closely with the contestants, dressing them and finally crowning the winner in our exclusive headpiece. We had the pleasure of crowning Priya Serrao, Miss Universe Australia 2019, in our Verity Diadem – a truly magical moment for all involved!
The embodiment of femininity, the Verity Dadem headpiece was designed to mirror the innate strength, beauty and elegance of the Miss Universe Australia winner for 2019.
“A headpiece design felt more appropriate, donned by ancient Greeks and decorated with jewels, they were worn to celebrate special occasions and showcased true powerful, femininity.” – Julian Power, Head of Design.
Drawing on the characteristics of our upcoming Verity collection, the diadem in high polish sterling silver, sings to youth, equality and confidence. Radiant with the majesty of an Australian South Sea Pearl at the centre of a flower in full blossom, the diadem sparkles, ornate with clusters of pave-set yellow sapphires and white diamonds. Sparkles, which will no-doubt be matched in the eyes of whomever wears it.
